If you're watching over the air TV you need to set it up for sound. It just doesn't automatically play TV sound. The TV speakers do that.

I post a video of how to do this several times. I'm on my phone now but Maybe some nice soul will post a link.

Magnadyne needs to be on AV2.
On the TV go to the menu, tutn tv speakers off. On the audio menu set volume to fixed (not variable). Should play tv sound via surround sound speakers

If not, make sure cables red/whit cables are plugged into audio out of TV.

Regarding USB drive, it may be that the size drive is too big for the Magnadyne to handle. Many car stereos, etc., cannot handle the larger drives. Trying loading some songs on something like a 2G drive and see what happens. Smaller drives conform to the USB 1.0 standard. Larger ones are likely USB 2.0 or above.

(This is just a hunch on my part, but I have run into this on other devices like older digital picture frames, that can't load from larger drives).

While using two different iPod Classics in our 2014 Sunseeker 3010ds there is a constant squealing noise during play. How do you use Bluetooth to pay the iPod? Frustrating to constantly hear squealing during our music. In response to the sub, we had to disconnect ours. It wouldn't stop humming.

I don't think the iPod classics are bluetooth compatible.

I think it needs to be an iPhone or an iTouch to use Bluetooth. The rest need to be direct cable connection.

Thanks for the response. The problem is that when the iPod is attached via direct cable there is a squealing noise along with the music. Any idea on how to correct that?

Try installing a "ground loop isolator". Cheap and worked to stop the hum on my Magnadyne.

What is a ground loop isolator? Where do I get one? How and where do I install it? Sorry, I'm not real savvy with electronic stuff.

Radio Shack.

Make sure plugs are in all the way.
If you have LED lighting try turning them off.

Radio Shack, Best Buy or look them up online.

Simply, eliminate the electrical noise and hum caused by ground loops. These problems typically occur when multiple components receive power from different locations. This isolator solves that problem by providing ground path isolation between components while maintaining full frequency response.

I have mine connected on the back side of the radio between the radio and the speaker wires. For the Magnadyne get one with RCA connectors.

The problem with the one from Radio Shack is it works fine, but you will also need connectors to change male to female (if I remember correctly) in line with the unit and the radio. Others you can order come with the correct connectors.

I would pull the radio to see which connections I need.

This should take care of the radio hum, not sure about the ipod.
I don't have that problem with my iPod Shuffle.

Here is a link to Best Buy which has the type with the proper connectors.

link to connecters if needed (much cheaper than Radio Shack).

High-pitched whine

Our local dealer recently repaired the GPS on our Magnadyne M4-LCD by replacing the SD card. Since the repair, we have a high-pitched whine coming from (or at least caused by) the Magnadyne unit: when the unit is on, the whine is present; when the unit is off, there is no whine. The whine differs in pitch depending upon the engine’s RPMs.

Because the whine differs in pitch depending upon the engine’s RPMs, it sounds to me like the electronics in the Magnadyne unit are somehow interfering with or picking up interference from the engine’s electronics. That’s just a wild guess though.

I’m wondering if the dealer had to unwire/remove the unit to make the repairs, and if so, is it possible that a ground wire didn’t get put back properly? (I have asked the dealer this question, but they never admit to any problems with their work.)

Or is there another possible cause?

If you run into a dead end with the dealer, try a car audio shop. You just need to ask around who has a good reputation for trouble shooting audio interference.
