Magnadyne Video Switching Center (VCS10)

Those who have this video switch box (5 inputs / 3 TV outputs) may be interested.....Our MH (3051S) does not have a ANT amplifier (wall plate with switch and LED). I've been trying to diagnose very poor TV reception on our MH. Since the video box has a 12v dc power connection, I thought it provided the ANT amplifier function. WRONG! The one page tech sheet from Magnadyne is a bit misleading. According to Magnadyne tech support, this box only passes thru the signal it receives on the "FROM ANT" coax port (max 12v dc). The 12v dc input is only used to convert composite video (from DVD) into RF signal that it puts onto the coax output ports. This box essentially is just a set of mechanical switches. If your coach does not have a separate TV antenna amplifier, it does not have an amplified signal!
I'm planning to add an amplifier to hopefully improve the TV reception.
In our driveway (30 mi northwest of Detroit) I get: 13 ch with ANT direct connected to front TV, but only 4 ch thru the VCS10 box. I get 22 ch with a amplified rabbit ear antenna sitting inside the coach!

I read it was the poor quality of the input/output box. If you direct line in with an external DVD player, the picture is clear. Our dash dvd to TV was always poor picture quality.
