Magnovox Instamatic Ref/Freezer not getting cold

I just bought a 1977 Prowler 22' trailer. The ref/freezer is giving us fits. When we switched it to propane it will not get cold. Pilot is working. When we use electric it will get cool in the bottom (approx 60 degrees) but the freezer will not freeze. We have left it on propane over 24 hours and also on electric from approx 24 hours now. Does anyone have suggests on what to do next before replacing it? I would love to use the trailer soon to go camping. Thanks

Dottie, since the Prowler is not a Forest River product, nor have i ever seen any FR product with a Magnavox fridge, you probably won't find much help here.

you'll probably get more help at a Fleetwood owner's forum or try RV.net's TT forum.

of course, someone here might have owned an old Prowler and be able to help.
otherwise, it'll only be generic suggestions.
