Male 1/4" plug question

Hello all. Not a Forest River owner at this point but had a question re the above in connection with my pickup and truck cap. I have the window in the cap and truck and want a fan to blow cool air/warm air in the back as needed. I was interested in this item but it has the ¼ instead of the cigarette lighter type plug. I understand that Forest River rvs have this type of plug and my question is – is this something that can be converted to fit in the standard lighter type plug. If I were to cut this plug off, would there just be two wires and could I just wire it to the plug and be done. I have np experience with this type of plug. There are 12 volt fans with the plug I need but I like this one better. Thanks for any help and sorry to be kind of crashing the forum but I could not think of anywhere else to ask. Raleigh.

Lumitronics Combination Interior 12V Reading Light with 2 Speed Fan for RVs, Trailers, Campers, 5th Wheels. Includes Incandescent Light Bulb and Extendable Coil Cord. Convenient On/Off Switch

INCLUDED: 8 ft coil cord with male 1/4" plug
