Maytag Amana cook top will not light

I have a 2008 Forest River Georgetown 350ts Motorhome with an Amana Maytag 3 burner stove top and oven. Model AYL2280BDS Serial # 12626947LP. The propane valve is turned open and there is over 1/2 tank of fuel. This motorhome has been idle for maybe a year or more. I cannot get the stove or the oven to light. I held a light to the burner over a minute with a burner turned to the pilot position. Please help. Thanks Larry

If you tried to match light it for over a minute, did you smell propane? If the propane is flowing, you shoud have. Perhaps you opened the propane tank too quickly. Try closing the propane tank valve and re-open very slowly. I've had this very thing happen to me before.

I found the cause.... When entering the Motorhome there is gas detector switch that was turned off. My wife flipped it on and everything lights fine now. Thank you
