micro wave not working
My Microwave elect circuit is not working, it works when plugged in to another outlet. The breaker is not tripped Could it be possible that the wire has broke somewhere between the elec. box and the microwave plug in? Unit is a 35 foot 5th wheel 2014 Wildcat Max. I would like to find out something about this before I take it in to dealer. Tks

Usually, but not always the micro is on a circuit of its own.
If the breaker is not tripped, you 'could' have a bad wire or connection at the outlet.
While not common, it may be wired to a GFCI outlet somewhere else in the rig.
Check all the GFCI's (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) and be sure one isn't tripped.
Look in your breaker box. If the micro is on its own dedicated circuit, you are going to have to start tracing wires and checking connections in that circuit.

I agree with what 5picker said plus this. A breaker can look like it is not tripped but be tripped, set it to the off position and then back on and test the outlet, the other thing you can do is put a meter from connection of the broker to natural bar and see if you read power with the breaker in the on position it may be you have a bad breaker, The breakers used by FR are cheap and easy replaced by ones sold at home depot or lower

I have a 2014 Georgetown and my microwave oven will not heat. Everything on it works, light, turn table turns, clock, etc, just will not heat up food. Any suggestions?
Thanx

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Given your description of the problem I would say its time for a new microwave I think the magnetron has given up the ghost.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. If the microwave is not in a slide, the wire is usually a straight run from breaker to receptacle. So, check both ends. If the microwave is in a slide, there will be a junction box somewhere in the slide. Sometimes it is in the wall and accessible from inside the camper. Other times, it is located under the camper on the frame. I would check the breaker first since it is easiest, even though, I would suspect the receptacle! The wire may not have been fully inserted and could have worked loose.

micro wave not working
Thanks for the input that is what I thought. Too bad, it was only about two years old. Not covered by warranty anymore.

I looked at the microwave oven and I can't see how to access the screws in the top in order to remove it without damaging the wood trim above it.

The screws should be in the cabinet above going down into the microwave. The back sits on a lip of a bracket attached to the wall. It's a good idea to have a second person. I've removed large microwaves myself, but I'll build a 2X4 stand to support the front of the microwave until I get all of the screws removed.

The oven is near the top of the slide. There is a piece of fascia about two inches high, I suspect the screws you are talking about are behind it. I don't see any screws holding the piece in and I don't want to damage it. Any ideas as to how to get it off without causing damage? Anything will help. Thanks.

Post a pic of the microwave so that those of us not familiar with your specific rig but experienced at removing things like the microwave can see what you are talking about

My first thought was, what the...
Anyway, it would be nice to hear from someone with a Georgetown that has dealt with that. However, I agree that the trim pieces are going to have to be removed to gain access to the mounting screws.

Factory installed it up-side-down. Easy fix.

The installer was probably 18 years old and has never used a microwave oven.
Must have been one excellent PDI performed by the dealer.

FYI, I asked a RV repair shop how to get the microwave out. There are two long bolts behind the metal above the door that bolt to the bracket in back.
