Microwave

2010 Cardinal-- microwave shuts down after about 2 mins. Once cooled for about 5/8 mins it will come back on. ?????? Tks for any info!!

Same thing happens to mine also. Inside gets so hot I could fry on it, even loose the time on the clock.

This is a common problem with the Hotpoint microwaves. If you do a search in this forum you'll find others with the same problem. I got mine replaced under warranty but honestly don't think it will be any better. We have learned to microwave less or give it a chance to cool down between longer cookings. That seems to help. I have even done a web search for Hotpoint microwaves and it seems to be a problem for this manufacturer.
