Microwave dislodged
hi all,
We are currently traveling in the Canadian Maritimes. On our way from Ontario to New Brunswick we traveled on Hwy 20 in Quebec. It was the roughest ride I think that our RV has ever experienced. As a result, the microwave is out of position and I am not sure what needs to be done to keep it where it belongs. I can slide it into place but the next bump we hit sends it out of position again. Other things were damaged as well but this is the thing I can't figure out how to remedy. Looking for some suggestions.
thanks
Keran

Might take it out and set it on the floor ( protected by something), until you can secure it. If it falls it will damage the microwave and the RV.

Microwave dislodged
Hi all,
I originally posted this is the appliance section but as I have yet to receive a reply that could assist in my dilemma I thought I would try again here.

In this picture it has been repositioned, so I don’t think that will be of much assistance other than to show the style. The right side moves back about 3-4 inches while the left side stays put.
Currently on campground Wi-Fi so I hope it works!

Can you remove the trim around the outside?
I think there may be some screws under the trim holding it to the cabinet. If they pulled out you may be able to replace them with slightly larger (diameter) ones to hold the unit in.

You need to take off outer cover to see what hold it and correct it.

Happenned to me.
Similar happenned to our microwave.
Removed the front bezel and there are metal screws that hold the microwave on the sides.
2 of the ways to repair.
Reset the screws with may be some thread locker.
Or go for larger size screw with thread locker.
Ps I do most of my travel on Quebec roads and they are very rough....

Mine did similiar. The metal tabs that the screws went into had broken off. Plus, mine did not have a back support. I added a small piece of 2x4 wood that was the right thickness. Pop riveted new bits of metal to make new screw eyes. Has held up almost 7k miles so far with no sign of failure. No pictures, as I was on the road when it happened and did not take any.
