Angry microwave door glass sticking out

Have a Sunset Trails trailer. When storing for winter I open cabinets, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Couldn't shut High Point microwave door today while reading the trailer for our first trip this season. Finally realized that a small amount of glass is sticking out of the microwave's door. It is just enough to keep the door from closing. Don't want to break anything but am tempted to try tapping it back in. Anyone ever have this problem? Did anyone ever solve this problem?

I have not experienced this problem with that said I think tapping on any glass is the wrong way to approach this problem. I think what I would do is warm the area up with a heat gun or hair dryer then gently (wearing a set of garden gloves with the sticky silicone dots on them)try to force the glass back into position. You didn't say the type of microwave so this is just a WAG on my part. Good luck let the forum know how you fix the problem

It is a High Point microwave. What is curious is that it happened once before and I fixed it. There r two lessons here: don't leave the door open and write everything down because I can't remember much!!! Yours sounds like a good idea. Will try today.
