Thanks for the reply OldCoot, I will give the pop rivets a try. Of course I have a rivet gun in my tool bag... back in Calif. I forgot most of my tools back in Calif, long story but boy was that dumb.
I guess I will hit a store and buy another one and some rivets. Luckily they are pretty cheap.
