Need help on new speakers!
This past weekend I finally took out the brand new trailer and decided to turn on the tunes. I noticed that one of the speakers did not work. So I took the speaker off and when i shook it it started working. reinstalled it on the ceiling and five minutes later it was not working. I have the 17BH Clipper and the only problem I am seeing to replace the speakers is the washroom door opens right above the speaker. Does any one know of a good speaker that would fit there? it would be greatly appreciated!

I just replaced the crappy Jensens with a set of Kenwoods on my new 17FQ.. They are round but just a little larger in diameter.. I had to cut a little to make them fit.. They do not interfere with the door...

Thank for the response meganjoe! I called Viking for the specs on the speakers and they told me they were 5 inch diameter speakers. I would assume Joe you bought 6.5 inch. I went to amazon and found some cheap JVC's for the time being! Hopefully everything works out.

If it's a brand new unit and you want the speakers to work, why not take it back to tthe dealer for a warranty replacement?

@oxcamper the speakers are so cheap that buying new ones is actually cheaper than hooking my camper up and driving one hour there if traffic is good! I would at least spend more than twenty bucks in gas alone and eat up most of my day! Plus I think with the JVC speakers, I might get a better sound quality inside.

Speakers
I would check the crimp connections to make sure they are actually crimped tight. It may not be the crappy speakers
I attached the 12 volt battery for the first trip of the season and the ground wire fell off. I think whoever crimped the wire used a pair of tweezers.
On the last trailer, the receiver picked up stations up to 10 miles away. I ended up pulling the radio and soldering the antenna connector.

I got some great low profile Speakers from Crutchfield that fit in the cabinet bottoms AND a pioneer Multimedia receiver (no CD player). Added a subwoofer in a bottom of a cabinet with a sub amp and AM very happy.
Retrosound R-525N speakers
Pioneer MVH X370BT

They don't get no slimmer than the retrosound. By the way Crutchfields has an EXCELLENT tech support function and will help you find what you need and no obligation to buy anything.

I Installed the Pioneer speakers the other day. I still had to cut the hole a little bit so the speaker could fit. The old speaker was defective straight from the factory. I wish I would of caught that on the walk thru. Over all I am very happy with the Pioneers better sound over all.

tks for digging, customers not rating very high, want to keep a flat type unit rather than mess around with wall mounts, good idea on your suggestion, guess they don't make those type of units any more. my unit is a 25' 5er. cheers, greg
