Need satellite in bedroom

So I have a Palamino Sabre 32BHOK. I have a dish hooked up to the TV in the living room of course
. But I want to hook up a seperate direct tv box in the master bedroom. now I have run the satellite to the cable outlet and tried that...no go.
What do I need to do????

Depending on what receivers you have you will probably have to run one or two new lines from the antenna to each box.

How are you feeding the satellite to the living room? Does your trailer have a satellite feed. If so, that is a dedicated single line. The cable line on most campers does come in to the amp, and maybe through some splitters. The amp or the splitters are probably blocking your signal. The amp should be off when trying to use cable. Only on when using the roof antenna.

yes it has the satellite hook up. I just thought if I hook it into where the cable goes and then it would work in the bedroom because the amp is in the living room not the bedroom. hmmmm

I will try again and make sure the amp is off. If it still does not work then I have more homework to do

As Windrider posted it is a bit difficult to advise not knowing your exact situation. For example, if your unit is factory equipped for a satelite connetion, both the living room and bedroom tv's should operate through the internal wiring. If you want to use two individual satelite systems (a separate one for the bedroom) I think you will need to connect the second one entirely separately. Here is a link that shows how the Concertone WP8RCA wall plates are connected. http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchf...4/804ZX690.PDF

Good Luck !!

I am glad for this response as I now understand the system better.

I recently purchased this TT, made the first and only trip to date, got sick on the trip, cold and rain, and could not get the television that came with the unit to work on satellite. The intent of the trip was to get acquainted with the TT, discover any problems, and setup the electronics. The good was that I had no leaks and medical services nearby.

I hope to try the satellite and tv again today and get under the TT to give it a good going over.

On our crusader we had fits with this. We have Dish network and a 2 tv dvr unit. we hook the dish up to the sattelite hookup on the outside of the camper. On the back of the dish reciever there is a out to tv 2 hookup. we put a cable from that jack into the antenna jack and backfeed it to the bedroom. On ours the sattelite is for the living room only the cable and antenna runs to both places. pretty wierd to do it that way.

On our Bighorn, we ran from satellite in to receiver in LR. from tv2 on receiver to cable connection in LR and backfed to tv in BR.. with a 311 duo it worked fine. Even split off of the BR feed and had tv outside. Hope this will work on the CC we are considering. Steve

Here we go. On our Flagstaff we have two external coax hookups. One is for cable and one for satellite. The cable connection had two hookups in the trailer, one at the television and the other in the bedroom. The satellite had one hookup at the television. That was then.

This is now.

We ran two runs of coax to the bedroom from the front television/entertainment center. The bedroom now has three connections on the coax faceplate. One is the incoming satellite feed; this goes to the receiver. The bedroom television is fed satellite channels from the receiver by the RCA cables. Another connection on the faceplate feeds cable to the bedroom television. The third coax connection is for the coax output on the satellite receiver that now feeds the television in the front room. Behind the television and easily switched is an AB switch which feeds this television cable or satellite.

Going on thirty-two years of marriage. The secret, more than one television.
