Bob, I appreciate what you are doing.
I believe you when you say Concertone is cleaning up their
Brand new trailer day one at home.
Dealer was 200 miles away
MY first experience with a concertone was it would not
turn down. Volume level 1 would run you right out of
bed! Volume level 0 was no sound at all.
Unit number 2 was almost as bad PLUS it had a horrible hum
and it hissed all the time, CD, FM radio, DVD hiss all the
Number 3 was better but still hissed.
I was tired of messing with it and so I left it in there.
Number 3 died when it was 2 years old.
It would refuse to shut off.
OR it would turn itself on in the middle of the night.
NO it was not the alarm. Or it wouldn't turn on.
I'd pull the power fuse to "re-boot it" over and over
to eventually get it to where it would play a movie for us.
I would hazard a guess that it had 100 hours on it.
I threw it in the garbage and put in a Jensen.
Jensen number 1 worked fine right out of the box.
Concertone "might" be on par NOW but it sure as hell
wasn't as recently as 2 years ago.
Concertone has a LOT of bad reputation to overcome
Good luck. I really hope we can meet up at next years
manufacturer to dealer RV show here in Louisville.
