New Jensen radio does not stay on when ignition turned off

We are on our 3rd Jensen radio with BT/Nav/Aux/etc. and the last time it was installed, it will not stay on when the Ford engine is turned off and the door opened. We even tried the DVD player on the last trip and it cuts off after 10 minutes or so. It took them forever to troubleshoot a short in the radio and I really don't want to take it back for repair if it's an easy fix from home.
We enjoy our 2015 Sunseeker 3170DS tremendously and really like having music and movies while inside, but we've lost that luxury. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The radio in my SunSeeker will stay on untill you open either cab door. Same with my pickup and DWs Escape. Only way it will stay on with a door open is key in accessory. That is so you don't forget and run the battery down.

Thanks. I should have been more specific. Even with the key out and not opening the cab door (exit through the camper door), the radio turns off after a few minutes

That is correct. Maybe ten minutes at most.

With our first Jensen radio in 2015, the radio would stay on the whole time we were in the RV park, whether it was one day or five. That's the functionality I was looking for, but have not had since the last two radios.

First one may have been wired differently or wrong and corrected in later installations.

Pull the radio, find the +POS wire at the back of the Jensen, then either find or add a fused wire direct from the battery +POS terminal... cut the currently hooked up +POS wire and connect to the NEW +POS wire that you either added or found... you may find when you pull the radio a wire that might be taped off that was the original wire that was used...

We never use our radio in our travel trailer since it was new so a few months ago, I removed the Jensen radio and the cabinet it was mounted in. After finishing that, I removed the dinette bench seat next to that cabinet. Wow, I really have a lot of open floor space now!

That radio felt like a toy when I removed it. I actually had trouble giving it away for free!

Wire the radio to the house battery, not the chassis battery. Our old MH, 89 Winnebago, had a dash switch to select battery source.
