New RV - No DVD Signal for TV - Solved

Just got a new Wildwood and this forum has been so helpful, I thought I'd join and post this to help someone else. I didn't see it in my search.

I connected our new TV and could not get the mounted DVD player to work. After a lot of tinkering and head scratching, I decided to take the DVD player out of the wall. You have to be careful getting the trim piece off, but it was easy after that. Sure enough...

There is an AV cord (red, white, yellow) that goes from the DVD player to a wall plate that you connect the TV to. That cord was plugged into the DVD player's "AV IN" instead of the "AV OUT".

New RV Kink #1 straightened out

DVD player and TV hookups shown here:

Nice looking entertainment unit! I really like the curved sides.

Great info! We just bought a 2014 wildwood 32bhds and get in the spring. Wondering what size tv it takes and what kind of mount you used?

A 32" TV fit perfectly in ours. The mount we got is just a Walmart hanging mount that doesn't adjust. It isn't road tested yet.

I've heard that you just want to look for one that can lock the adjustments, one that doesn't adjust, or one you can move the TV off of easily.

Mine was the same. Had no sound at the tv. I pulled it out of the wall and found that the video out was connected but there was no audio out connected.
While I was in the wall, I went ahead and connected the aux input to the mounted aux jacks in the wall. So my kids can hook their game up now.
