New Trip - New Problems

We are into the second week of our 2017 excursion and have developed two problems. 1. The flame on our range and sidekick grill is not very hot. I am assuming it's a gas flow problem. Since it is two appliances it could be a restricted hose next to the regulator, or the regulator itself. Is there a way to this this without just replacing it? 2. The food in the refrigerator section of our Dometic refrigerator is being frozen. Have not changed any setting and have not had this problem before. Tried downloading a manual from Dometic with no luck. Any Suggestiond?

Try lowering the temp probe that's on the fin just a little. Also having a thermometer helps to regulate.

I tried that, but didn't help. This morning the temp was less than 30. The thermometer I'm using only goes down to 30.

How much did you lower it?

I lowered as far as it will go without any of it hanging off the fin. I can slide it down more with it half on and half off the fin. It is puzzling why this is occurring this year, but not previous years.

You are right. Lower should make it warmer. Right now mine is at 32 degrees in the bottom section, but has not frozen anything.

These temp probes are a joke. Just arranging the items in the fridge will change things. I bought and installed a Snip-the-Tip thermostat and couldn't be happier. About $30 and very easy to install. Took a couple of days to zero in on the temp we wanted but now rock solid.

I have not heard of snip-the- tip. I'll do a google search and look into it.
BTW we are part of the group that doesn't know binary.

Thanks folks.

Most people have the reverse problem, not getting cold enough. Sounds like you have a good cooling unit.

Be thankful!

You just need to get it regulated.

I found the refrigerator problem. The thermistor had fallen out of the clip that holds it next to a fin and was between the back wall and a milk carton.
Now to deal with the gas supply.
