New Whirlpool Microwave also Not Cooking

Hi
Just Wanted to add that from talking to Power Drive inverter (brand) tech and to whirlpool repair tech it is in the modified sine wave from my power drive 1500 watt inverter causing the mic not to nuke. But my other new products 24inch vizio and samsung blue ray 3d dvd play have no problems at all.
Talking agian today to both the techs there is no work around such as high end surge protectors or apc or ups battery backups.
All these items are in a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia 4 gauge cable 4-5 ft long inverter input reading is 14.2 volts engine running. Still made no difference.

So unless I plan on a new mic for the house or spend even more for a pure sine inverter, or put in a 50-$60 mic which will not fit in may 17 inch or less cubby holes I have a $144.00 fishing weight.
If anyone has found a reasonable workaround please post .
Until then good thing for my 1 burner butane stove.

A 1500 Watt inverter is most likely too small for your microwave.

Startup wattage is normally 125 - 150% of "running" wattage.

Try borrowing a friend's 2500 or 3000 watt inverter.

Amazon.com : NEW Cobra CPI1575 3000 WATT Car Power Inverter DC To AC : Vehicle Power Inverters : Car Electronics

You should be able to sell your smaller inverter or just use it for a backup.

New Whirlpool Microwave also Not Cooking

Hi
I will keep that in mind.
The oper manual says 120v 60hz 15-20amp 1200 watt single phase power source, even though it's only a 700watt mic.
From talking to whirlpool auth repair it has inverter sensing board and shuts down the nuke. Then talked to inverter tech he says it's the way the power is going out of the inverter. More or less the current is alternated from one side of the plug to the other at a fast rate where the mic wants to see pure power and if not it will shut it off as far as the nuke.

Thanks for responding but I kinda think right now iI have fishing weight in this current application, Unless I go to sine wave inverter which will really costs even more or I have to go to a genny there again more cost.
this mic was the perfect size for the cubby hole but leave it the engineers to make something better and screw it up all at the same time.
Thanks again Happy Trails

As stated in the previous (original) thread, my microwave's magnetron controller requires pure sine wave as well.

Not all have that requirement.

ok I'm sure I can get another trucker with a bigger inverter to plug in to see
but I'm still limited in what size I can put in the truck, it a company truck they won't allow any inverter that requires 4 battery leads so i'm still stuck for now.

Whrilpool Microwave now powered

Thanks to all that replied
My mic is now powered by a PURE SINE WAVE inverter. ( that is not the brand but pure power ). So just to let everyone know the whrilpool microwave MUST have Pure Sine Wave Power NOT simulated sine wave like most truck stop, dept store, automotive store style inverters.
The inverter i grabbed was a pure sine that retails for $800.00 for $162.00 from ebay, I installed it and fired up my mic just fine.
Thanks to all be safe and Happy Trails.
