I hooked up a new HD TV in my new to me camper this weekend and raised the antenna, positioned it, and turned the booster on and had great signal. All the channels I had in my previous camper on the same camping spot showed up on the new tv. After watching tv for about two hours I lost all my channels but one that comes in pretty garbled. I went and grabbed my neighbors flat screen and plugged it in and got nothing. His tv has an antenna meter and it was showing 4 percent and at his camper it shows like 70-80 percent. Do you thing my booster has gone out? It just does not make any sense, all the channels looked great, then boom, they were gone.

Yea, when I first hooked it up, I did a channel search. It found 12 channels. Then after I lost all the channels, I did a search again, and it only found 1.

And if you also tried aiming the antenna in different directions then redoing channel search then I would look for a loose antenna connection behind entertainment center .
I find that my reception changes locations through out the day. Morning is great but I lose some in the afternoon. I have to adjust the position of the antenna a little. other then that I would also think it was your booster.
Mine requires a channel search each time I disconnect from AC power. Swap out the coax, check all connections.

I tried aiming the antenna in all different directions with no luck I pulled the plate off and all the connections look tight. Is that the booster at the wall plate?

Have you checked the coax connection on the roof at the antenna plug in. It is very possible also that your booster is bad. Without the booster you will get hardly nothing.

I checked the connection at the base (it was the only thing I could get to on the ladder). The base coax was tight.

Our tv in our old trailer would lose reception sometimes.It had a booster with an on/off switch that slid up and down.If I wiggled the switch a little it would start to work.Eventually I replaced it with a new switch that had a push button on/off switch and was still working when we sold the trailer.

Quick question, I was at my local RV dealer and he told me my booster is at that wall plate? Isn't it in the head of the Antenna? See above photo of wall plate.

this is your booster at the wall plate. If you look at this plate there is a small button to turn on your booster. Also a small green light comes on when you push on this mini button. My wall plate booster is brown. As I can see yours is white.
The wall plate actually serves several purposes at the same time.
1) It is a switch that switches reception from the roof antenna to the external campground cable connection. (Green light "ON" roof; Green light "OFF" outside cable."
2) It provides 12VDC power to the rooftop antenna to power the amplifier in the antenna head.
3) Your model plate uses an external splitter that routes signal (far cable in your photo) to the faceplate coax connector and the "house" coax run (there may be an additional splitter for multiple rooms).

Thanks Herrk for your response. My park model is wired for both Cable and Satellite. On the wall plate the top coax is for Sat. and the bottom is for TV/Cable. I was reading Wingard's trouble shooting guide and it said to check for 12vdc at the head on the roof. If there is power there, then it is a bad antenna head. My question is it looks like just coax at the entrance into the head on mine. Does the coax carry the 12vdc?

Yes. The coax carries the 12VDC to up to the head concurrently with the RF TV signal coming down from the head. The TV signal is like alternating current so it does not interfere in any way with the DC; you can think of it as the TV signal "riding" on the 12 volt power.
To check for 12 VDC at the head (I assume you checked that the green light on the wall plate is on) just remove the coax from the antenna head and put the red lead of the meter on the center copper wire and the black lead of the tester on the shield (part with the threads). It should read 12-14 volts DC.

Sounds easy enough! I will be back down at the camper on Saturday and will check it. Yes, the green light is on. I just find it hard to believe the head is bad, but maybe it shorted out, who knows! The camper I had before this one was a 1997 and it worked great till the day the camper was gone.

If water gets in there with power on it can raise all kinds of havoc with the amp.
On a side note: How is the over the air reception where you are?
Is it possible there are NO stations to receive?
Remember that all most all TV broadcasts are now DIGITAL. If you have an older TV (NOT digital) you will NEVER receive a TV signal. You MUST have a digital to analog converter box to watch over the air TV now (in both Canada and the US).
Also Digital TV uses "primarily" UHF, BUT there are digital VHF stations as well. Digital VHF stations are directional. Aiming the antenna is critical to good (or sometimes any) reception.
