Noise / interference

I have a Concertone unit in my SV233T that is giving off a hi pitched noise on the AM band . Sometimes the noise changes like a wave, it goes hi then low. It might improve or get worse when I turn on a 12 volt light. There isn't any pattern that I can see. I don't know the model number of the unit but it is an AM/FM CD radio. I have checked all the connections on the power supply/inverter/converter and found only one that needed tightening. Any suggestions?

It sounds to me that you need an inline noise/sound suppressor filter like the ones used in the 60's and 70's cars. It hooks inline to the red (12v) wire, and may or may not have a ground wire hook up. Speaking of ground wires, you can check your ground to be sure it is good. Hope this info helps you.....Randy
