Outside speaker issue

We just purchased a pre-owned 2014 312qbud. When my kids are watching a movie inside, the audio plays on the outside speakers. I don't want this. Selection A plays the front inside and one outside. Selection B plays the rear inside and the other speaker outside. Selection C plays nothing because when pulled the Jensen awm965, I discovered that nothing is connected to the wired designated for C. I am trying to find out what color the wires for the outside speakers are so I can connect them to Selection C. I would like the outside speakers to be connected only to Selection C. I can't have a relax period outside if my kids are watching cartoons inside and the audio is coming over the outside speakers as well as the inside speakers. Please help. Thanks.

Maybe try either the Fader control or balance on those channels to see if that helps?

its just speakers take them all off the stereo hook them up 1 at a time and figure out what wires run what speakers then hook them up so A is inside and B is outside .

I've been hooking up stereos for a good number of years so I thought it would be easy to check out the manual to see what's going on. I’m not at all surprised they screwed up the wiring in that I believe they have a mistake in the wiring diagram. Going through the chart on the left, I found they had no pin numbers for Right B and they show pin numbers for Left Front but no pin numbers for Right Front. Following the wires on the right side of the chart, I found they have pin numbers 11 and 12 mislabeled. Pin number 11 should be RIGHT (B) SPEAKER (+) and 12 should be RIGHT (B) SPEAKER (-). With those changes I believe the setup is:

Speakers A have four speakers. Two Front and two Rear.

Speakers B have two speakers.

Speakers C have two speakers.

I would take it that Speakers A are for the Living Room area, Speakers B are for the Bedroom (if you have speakers in there) and Speakers C are for the outside (although B and C could be reversed). Good luck straightening that mess out. Larry G.

Aufinger, thanks for this insight. I'm not a stereo guy but I knew something was up when I pulled the unit out and was sifting through labeled wires. I'll give this a shot tomorrow.

Just pull the outside speakers, check the wire colors and then go inside and hook those wires to the C switch.

When you select speakers B, do "both" inside rear speakers play in addition to one of the outside speakers? I ask because speaker selection B only supports two speakers (a Left & Right).

This is what I got going on Larry:
Selection A plays two speakers on the left side of the interior and one outside. Selection B plays one speaker on the right side rear of the interior and one outside. The right front interior doesn't have audio hooked up, it seems. So it's not set up to front and rear as it should be. I plan on extracting the unit again tomorrow and trying to see what's up.

I suggest you get some good small gauge(16-20) wire connectors prior to removing the stereo. The connections to the speaker runs are made with cheap wire nuts. On some of my connections, the wire was not stripped sufficiently to make a good connection. I cut out and reconnected every connection ( one at a time) and it made a significant difference.

My Jensen is set up for A to play 4 speakers, LF, RF, LR, RR. Fader and balance work properly.
B is L & R outside speakers, C is not used.
They just miswired yours.
Should be an easy fix.
Disconnect all speaker wires, connect one pair of wires at a time to any active speaker output and label each wire pair, then reconnect to the switches you want to control them.
They can't shock you but not good for the amplifier for + side to be grounded.
Yes, speakers do have a positive and negative. Wiring them wrong ( out of phase) will sound awful.

I just pulled the rf speaker inside and they never even connected it. There aren't even any wires in the hole. SMH.

Alright folks. I got it set up the way I want it, except for the speaker that was never wired to begin with, I don't feel like trying to fish a wire right now. I got the the front speaker that is wired to Selection A, the two rear speakers to Selection B, and the two outside speakers to Selection C. Thanks to all of you who replied for helping out.

Glad you got it handled. I wonder if there is a wire for that speaker anywhere near it? Maybe they just missed it and it's now I buried in the insulation.
