After spending 20-25 minutes trying to light the oven I learned to keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds after lighting.

Mine lights pretty easily actually... I use a long handled wand lighter and have no issues.

So I guess I'm not the only DW that is afraid to light the oven? My DH thinks I'm nuts, but things like this scare the bejesus out of me.

I have the same oven, and used it a couple of weeks ago. It lit easily with the wand lighter, and I followed the directions in the manual. The last couple of times I wanted to use the oven, I couldn't get it to light and finally gave up. The range burners light easily, but not the oven.

I push the knob in and keep it in, light the wand lighter and put in under the oven thing inside and count to 15, and nothing happens.

Any suggestions?
