Park cable
We did not have a TV in or previous camper, so we have not been able to use the park cable before. Do you have to provide your own coax from the camper to the park hookup? If so, what is a good length?

yes, unless you don't mind paying 5x what one would cost, from the campground store.
i think 25 ft. would be enough.

I carry two 25' lengths and a connector to join them.

X2 two 25' lengths should work. No guarantee where cable is provided in site.

There is an adapter you can buy ( Radio Shack) that screws on the end of the cable and lets you just push it on the park connector and your trailer connector instead of having to screw it on. Quick, easy.

I thought 30 feet would be enough, after getting back from our first trip I added another 50 foot section along with this.

Thanks for the advice. Where are the connectors usually, close to the electric hookup?

Yes in more recent campgrounds, some have been retrofitted to older CG, I've seen the cable post out near the street, or worse just laying on the ground (Yogi Bear Jellystone park in South Jersey)

I found a cable guy and asked him to make me up 100' line with the new ends. He did and I bought him lunch. What I do not need I just leave rolled up. But the cable guy uses a higher quality cable and ends then you get at Radio shack or some place. The better the cable the better the picture.

I'd gladly pitch my 2 hand-me-down cords for a nice 100' like you have.

Glad I saw this thread. I mentioned once that I found an entire spool of cable/coax on the side of the road, way out in the country. Need to get a length cut and ends fitted on it.
One more thing for DH to get done!
