Plugging computer into Concertone

The Concertone on my Suveyor 186 is the bottom-of-the-line x-50 or x-75, something like that. Anyway, it has an input jack for an i-pod. My question is: can I plug my computer into that jack and play the music on the computer through the Concertone speakers? My thinking is that my laptop is pretty much the same as an i-pod. So can I unplug the external speakers from my laptop and get a cable that will go from my laptop speaker jack to the Concertone jack?

Yes. I did this on my 2006 235RS. By hooking up a $2 1/8" to RCA cable to the back of my Concertone, I now can listen to our iPod, computer or portable DVD player. The added bonus is that the speakers (although small and cheap) sound a lot better when you play clean audio through your PC or iPod.

Thanks to all for the info. It worked! Also, it occurred to me that as an XM subscriber, I get XM for free on my computer. Wherever wifi is available, I can pull up XM and play it through my camper's speakers. Pretty cool.
