Poor working AC Unit
All,
Just wanted to pass this on. We purchased a new Nitro XLR Toyhauler this spring were having a lot of issues with our main cabin AC unit and refrigerator. So finally gave up a week of usage to take it into the dealership. Bowling RV was great to work with, but their findings were a little troubling. Here is what their Tech found.
FRIDGE - Tech's findings: TOP OUTSIDE FRIDGE VENT HAD MASKING TAPE OVER ALL THE VENTS/PULLED TAPE AND ADDED SMALL PIECE OF INSULATION ABOVE FRIDGE
MAIN CABIN AC - Tech's findings: DUCTS WERE NOT OPEN ENOUGH/PULLED AC COVER OFF AND WAS NOT SEALED GOOD ENOUGH BETWEEN INTAKE AND OUTGOING/SEALED WITH FOIL TAPE/RAN AC SPLIT 17 DEGREE SPLIT
Things are working great now - but have to question River Forest's quality control.
So, if you're having similar issues, don't hesitate taking your unit in for a check.
