portable wireless printer

This may be the wrong thread for this, but I'm going to ask anyway.
Has anyone ever used or currently using a portable wireless printer?
Just curious, we bought one to use while traveling and it looks like it may be a pretty good tool.

Thought about buying one, unsure how much it would get used.

May I ask what you went with?

They are somewhat pricey.

Last summer we camped near some tourist attractions which all provided discounts if you buy & print tickets online and/or bring printed online coupons. (Not all of them accept coupons displayed on cell phones...) Also, I like to print-out maps of the trails we plan to hike & sometimes find new ones that I had not printed out before leaving home...

So... This summer I am bringing a wireless printer along that I found for $50 (Epson XP600). I keep the original cartridges for Christmas pictures & use generic ink the rest of the year... This printer is pretty compact & can be used as a scanner/copier. I don't care for the ink cartridge design, but they are low-profile to keep the whole unit compact. It's about 2/3 the volume of our other Epson & Brother inkjets.

We used to use canon bjc 85, although we never used the function, they were supposed to be able print from ir/Bluetooth. They can be bought typically for 100 on ebay, they do not make them any more new.

Wow $50! That's a deal and half.
I had to do some searching to find one.....seems to not be a shelf item for the most part.

We haven't had a need for a printer more than 1 or 2 times in our travels. The one time that it was super important, I just put the files on a thumb drive and went to a UPS Store. Worked out because I needed things notarized, faxed, and mailed and the UPS Store just so happened to do all of that.

But, for our upcoming trip- we're going to take something with us. I'm looking for a compact printer/copier.

Oops - Epson XP600 - also changed original post... I actually bought (2) and keep the original inks in one for printing family photos that do not fade (Epson ink is expensive, but does not fade like generics...) I then use the 2nd printer w/generics for printing less important stuff. Since the ink alone is $50+ this is how I have always purchased our Epsons & have done it this way for over 10 years... Original inks = 10 year-old photos have never faded... Generics = fade within a year or two...

Printer

For what little printing we will do I bought one of these from newegg. A Pantum P2500w printer. Its small and lightweight and the starter cart will last quite a while.

HP Envy 4502 works great in our rig. Works with iPhone6 as a network printer and the lap top as well. $79 at the Wally Mart....copies, prints and scans
