programming direct tv remote for furrion tv?

has anybody been able to program their direct tv (model rc73) so that it can control the furrion tv's. i'd like to be able to use the direct tv remote to also turn the tv on/off and control the volume. i can't find furrion listed on the direct tv remote programming screen.

There is an option to let the remote do it automatically. Have you tried that?
