Not sure what you mean about flush mounted. Is it inside an enclosure with
just the faceplate showing? Is the back side open to air inside a large cabinet
or a small sealed enclosure?
Either way-- IMO get the unit replaced now while it's still in warranty.
It should not stop playing after any length of time unless you shut it off.
FYI, the DVD player will probably cause the most heat in the unit but you
need another one.
