i wonder if any of the antennas listed by antennapoint would be better than what came with the rv to begin with. not the big by large ones, but the smaller round ones.

It is very easy and you may not need to get on your roof at all. Here is the installation instructions.

The first thing you have to do (before purchase) is to make sure you have 10 inches or more of clearance between the antenna and any obstructions.

What I did on mine was to raise the antenna a bit, rotate it so that when it came down it would be over the side of the RV, and then lowered it. Then all I had to do was stand in the bed of my truck so I could reach it, pull out three rubber feet, set the wingman on the bottom, and push in three "push pins" where the feet used to be.

A friend has one, has had ZERO luck with his round one, uses one of these stuck in a window.

Everything has been changed under warranty.

We camped next to them last yr.

He was picking up less than a dozen channels, we got 30+.

Where we spend our summers we get NO channels. We're 50+ miles from the closest transmitter.

I replaced our Winegard/Wingman with a "Jack Digital HDTV Antenna" now the TV finds 1 station but the signal is too weak to watch.

My personal openion.... Winegard/Wingman

There is a new antenna-----------------

There is a new antenna called "JACK" that is a direct improvement replacement for the older winegard "BAT" wing. Very easy to installed and will work with your present antenna amp. Do a search for the "JACK" TV antenna.
Camping World had them on sale for around $39.00. I swapped mine out, what a improvement!!!!

X2 I switched and would never go back to the wingman. When I was in Goshen at the plant they told me that the new units will be having the jack on them but they are still evaluating. You know they will put the cheapest they can........

Comparing the Jack to a Winegard without the Wingman is not a fair comparison.

I have compared a wingman and a jack and I get a farther reception antenna and twice the stations. I sent back the wingman. I have done both and compared. I have never heard a bad comment on the Jack, not even on this forum.........

Hey, I have a ----------------------

Hey, I have a wingman UHF antenna I will give you. I have already compared the two antennas. I removed the "BAT" wing with the "YAGI WINGMAN" antennas, Like the Ole man GLJURCZYK said, I also got almost twice the stations with the "JACK".

A little information: I owned and operated a two-way radio shop for 28 years.
When it comes to antennas, I think I know what I am
doing!
