Red light on refrigerator

We just purchased a 2015 Coachman Catalina and put it in storage. We noticed the red light on the refrigerator is illuminated, don't know why. Any input would be welcome.

You don't say what fridge, but if fridge is turned on and propane is off and no shore power ( as would be for winter storage) the red light will light to indicate a it is not running, Check power switch.

I take it you have the gas shut off and no 120v power plugged in to your unit.

On mine red means the fridge failed to start on gas.

Is the battery disconnected?

I don't have the camper plugged in, the battery is still connected, I forgot to disconnect it. I don't know if the gas is turned on or not, I have not checked it.

Is the refrigerator turned off? On ours if the red light is on it means the propane did not light. Check to make sure the on/off switch is turned to the off position.

When we picked up the camper the guy was playing with the propane tanks, I'm thinking he might have turned them off. We are rookies at this so I am learning as I go, thanks for the help

If your putting it in storage, you want propane off anyway. Also many people recommend traveling with propane off. So Unless you turned it on, that is the issue. Turn fridge off and it will not try to run ( light ) on propane.

If the gas is off and the unit is parked for the winter then all you need do is unhook the battery.
