Refer help please

I have a Georgetown 329 brand new. We are out on the first trip. The refer is not getting cold. Auto light is on. Check light is not on so it appears to be working.

Any quick thoughts I can try before the trip is over and I just take it in.

Did you let it cool down before installing all your food ?
Have you checked the actual temp with a thermometer ?

You should always pre-cool the fridge for a minimum of 12 hours on electric (not as efficient as propane), before putting food inside that can spoil.

Make sure you have not moved (or removed!) the thermistor wire attached to the heat transfer fins. The lower (fridge; not freezer) compartment temperature is set by sliding the thermistor up or down on the fin. There is a sticker on the wall with the direction.

Here are some tips from the user manual:

Mine is set perfect and I forget whether it moves up or down to change the temp. When I guess here, I always get it wrong. The sticker is in the fridge.

Thanks. I need to put that in the Herkbrary so I don't need to run to the camper every time to check!

are you asking or telling? That plastic piece is simply a holder for a thermostat.

The probe should be stuck in behind the plastic slider .
The probe also should be placed at the top of the slider.
Sometimes the probe will slide down inside slider and when the slider is moved all the way up the probe is only maybe halfway .

Yes, there should be a wire there if you have a fridge with the thermistor on the fin. This MAY only apply to the older fridge (pictured by itself).

There is a newer fridge with a different temperature control and it has buttons and lights on the control panel that indicate temperature. (the picture with two control panels). This type may not have a sliding fin thermistor.

Nope. Sounds like water is gurgling in the back outside.
