We had the same problem with our Dometic Refer last year. The repair team was FANTASTIC! They came and pulled our refer out of the slide, removed the OEM fan and replaced it with this HUGE (@ 3") fan. Rewired everything and reinstalled the Refer. Ever since our refer has been whisper quiet!

And, as you may know by now, Gripe is just a figure of speech...just about everyone on this forum LOVES their RV AND Forest River. When Herk used "Gripe" you can be sure is was said with "nothing but love" for FR

The fridge in our 2012 CC Silverback 29re was loud. After many trips to the dealership and having fans replaced my husband discovered that when he took the outside vent overs off the noise stopped. One of the mechanics said that it is becasue the vents on outside are not big enough. It blocks the air flow. Once we created the air flow the fans could work normally and not squeal, hum or sound as if an air plane was taking off. My husband made regular window screens out of a window screen kit. It took two kits one for each vent. No more noise.
