Refrigerator Problems

Took the Vengeance out this weekend to start off the season. Had a great time with three other RV families. But we didn't go completely trouble free.

We have the Whirlpool free standing residential fridge. The camper was bought new 13 months ago. Until now, no problems at all. When we returned from Disneyworld back before Christmas, I decided to turn the fridge off completely instead of having it run with virtually nothing in it throughout the winter. When I pulled out the camper Wednesday, I turned on the fridge and everything seemed fine. But by Friday when we were ready to go, it wasn't nearly as cold as usual. I didn't make a big deal out of it as I thought it would catch up this weekend. But it didn't. The freezer could never get below 33 degrees and the fridge stayed around 45-47 degrees. It appears to be running like normal but its just not getting cold as it should.

In addition, I turned on the ice maker Saturday and after about ten minutes, I saw water coming out the bottom of the slideout.

Today when we got home, I pulled out all the sections of the couch and the fridge. I found the problem with the fridge: a plastic piece where the water line enters the fridge appears to be busted. Probably my fault as it may have froze. Really hard to winterize the water line for the ice maker. I have two fans in there right now blowing the carpet dry.

Any ideas where to start with my warm fridge? I plan to call FR tomorrow. I bought the second year of warranty but I don't know if that covers appliances or not. I can't imagine the coil is clogged with dust as its only a little over a year old and we don't even camp in dusty environments. The inside of the camper stays relatively clean. But I'll probably check tomorrow.

If the fridge does need servicing, I wonder if FR will allow an appliance repair company to come fix it versus me taking it to a dealership where nobody is an appliance specialist?

Looking for any tips.
