Refrigerator question

Hi, has anyone changed their dometic rv fridge to residential? My problem is the height of the dometic is 63” and residential seem to be 70”. It looks like dometic is on a metal platform on bottom and I don’t have room to cut above the fridge. Any help would be appreciated. Also do guys know if there is a water line run in that area. I don’t have ice maker on dometic currently but would like to get one on new fridge. Thank you....

You may get some answers to your question if you list the make and model of your rig.

I sold appliances for years. There is no standard size or height. The term "residential" refers to running off 110 power only and not a propane/3 way camping fridge. Are you looking at a unit made for a camper or just a fridge?

Hi thanks for getting back to me. We are looking to buy a fridge from Home Depot they all seem to be around 70” tall. The width is ok, our rv fridge is 33” wide.
