Remote Control for Exterior LED's???

Hi All,
We have a new Wildwood 171RBXL and I have a remote that I think works the exterior lighting, but for the life of me I can't get it to do anything. I wasn't really paying too much attention while the salesman was showing my Girlfriend and she doesn't remember. Here's a picture of the remote. I'm just not getting it. Anyone know how to work this thing?
Thanks

This is the remote control for your awning light. (LED strip)
You will need to turn on the interior switch on your control panel, then you can use the power button on the remote to turn on the LED strip.

I installed led lights under my camper and I use the same remote. On mine you have to point directly at the lighting sensor.

Thanks for the info, not sure where the lighting sensor is, but I'll look around.
If I remember correctly the salesman switch colors and a bunch of other stuff, I was trying to do that with them on...maybe I have to start from the beginning...

Yes, switch colors, flash, etc. Remote sensor by awning, over the door.

I have the same in the Salem. I can't tell you how to work it, but we kept trying and got it to work. Play with those "fast" or faster" type buttons(sorry, mine is at storage lot, so i cant see it)

If you want it to work... aim toward the right of the strip (where it goes it the wall) the controller is there... gotta be relatively close...ie: 5 feet

Our remote also has to be aimed at the right end of the strip and relatively close also. However, I now have the opposite problem. The remote is the only way I can turn on the led strip where before the interior switch could .

We were told by our Dealer that this light strip used on the Cruise Lites has had its share of functionality problems and many have been replaced. We thought ours was a bad remote, turned out to be a bad light strip. You may have a bad strip as well. Might want to contact your Dealer and inquire about it.

When we were having light strip problems, we found the sensor embedded in a glob of weather sealant attached to the wall, located just to the left, of the right side awning arm. We already knew of it's whereabouts from having a 171RBXL prior to our 232RBXL. Still isn't the best application ( the glob look ), I agree!

Ours worked flawlessly on the 171. Not so much on the 232, before replacing.
