Removal of light bulbs

How do you remove this style light bulb from the fixture? I tried pulling it straight out and it won't come out. We want to replace with LED bulbs - any suggestions on type and source. Many thanks!

Pull harder. Wrap with a rag or use leather gloves in the event of breakage. Sometime they are tough to pull, but it is just a spring friction fit.

Is that a release tab on the fitting? Hold the plug and push the tab while pulling on bulb

It helps to have smaller fingers 😉

Pull the bulb out of the white plastic holder. Just the bulb gets replaced. The plastic holder stays there. I thought I broke mine the first time I pulled the bulb out but you just replace the glass bulb alone. For your reference, it is a 921 bulb as you look for LED replacements.

wiggle it!

Some of mine were stuck and hard to get out. I wiggled them a bit side to side, they came right out. Use your judgement, as they can break easily. If in doubt, use gloves or pliers wrapped with a bit of electrical tape. Be sure the lamps are switched off!
