I've read that the flat screen TV should be removed for winter storage. This is the first winter for us and wondering if this recommendation is due to the low temperatures affecting the electronics or if it is to eliminate the chance of theft during storage. We get down to -25 deg C in this neck of the woods.
It is not that difficult to remove but I would rather just leave it in the TT.
Has anyone had any experience with this?

I brought mine in the first year, but left it out last year with no problems. I might go ahead and bring it in just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the reminder.

Ours comes into the house. The 5er was broken into and all the electronics were stolen a few years back. They broke into ours and 28 others at the dealers while there for problem fixing. It seems like it's a yearly thing to happen, even tho' their yard is fenced and has razor wire at the top. They just cut through the fencing. I left the TV in the 5er the 1st year we had it and nothing happened to it, from the freezing weather.
I leave ours in and so far there has been no problem, we are not too concerned about break-ins because we store at home and I would think this would be the bigest issue.

I leave ours in and so far there has been no problem, we are not too concerned about break-ins because we store at home and I would think this would be the bigest issue.
Everything I have read it is okay to leave them in. But with that said it only takes me 10 minutes to remove them so I take them out. There is a lot more moisture that builds up in your trailer with the changing temps during winter. If they were $50 to replace I would probably leave them in and take the chance but they cost a little more then that.

It's my understanding that as long as they are warmed up properly before use, there is no problem. The LCD (liquid crystal display) freezes so it needs time to unthaw.
