Replace Single Zone LCD Thermostat with CCC2???

Does anyone know if it possible to replace the Dometic Single Zone LCD Thermostat with the CCC2? I have a single zone but the CCC2 had a couple of features I would like (Remote Sensor, Outside Temperature, and program).

Thanks

I actually spoke to Dometic about this. In short no, the system is not designed for that type of application. I suggested they adapt with an aftermarket switch out for a programmable thermostat, I think they would make a ton of money!.

After searching more, I found another web page, RV MODS (?) There was a post from a guy who did it. However, he stated he had to run extra wires, and add a separate toggle switch and after doing all that he had to decide if he wanted to run the fan on high or low. He had to pick one of those options and only one. The "auto" was totally disabled. I decided I would stick with what I have.

Dometic also emphasized that any after market modifications would void any warranty to their product.
I bought a $10.00 outside thermometer with a remote sensor, I keep the display unit on the entertainment center. It displays the outside and inside temperatures (remotely) I have learned that my thermostat and this thermometer are about 7 degrees apart. The thermostat is wrong, but now I know by how much to adjust it.

As a weekended, I would love to have a programmable thermostat which would be set to cool the trailer before I arrive and turn off after I leave, because there are days I have forgotten, but neighbors have a key and will turn the unit off so I'm not wasting electricity all week. (a seasonal advantage).

Good Luck and camp safely!
