Residential fridge won't stay closed.....

Since day one...our fridge doors will not stay shut....its like the seal ain't sticking...should have to tug a bit to open like any other fridge but ours offers no resistance at all....just walking by it will cause the door to open...we have to keep a spatula wedged in the handles to make sure it stays shut...BTW..I'm referring to while the rig is parked...not traveling.

Past few weeks we've had the camper at the dealers for year end maintenance check for the lifetime warranty and to also fix a couple of other things especially the fridge...they call and said their outside fridge guy (fridge representative) said fridge was not installed correctly, was out of level.

So they redo the install and claim it now works and stays shut....I have my doubts and was wondering if any other members had this issue...thanks

Wonder what the level has to do with the magnetic effect that the doors should have, sounds like BS to me. my fridge was not installed correctly and is way off level but it still gets that magnetic draw as you close or open it.

I could be way off here, unsure just how similar RV refrigerators are to home ones, but every refrigerator I ever bought, I had to raise the front legs just enough that the door would shut automatically when left open. If you had them too low, the door just stayed open. Gravity is all that shuts them. I've never seen any magnet on a refrigerator door. I just looked at our home LG refrig, and it doesn't have any magnets or devices to hold it shut.

I could be way off here.

But I'd for sure go see if I could raise the front legs........they should be adjustable..and see what happens, before I did anything else.
