Roo DVD player

This past weekend my wife and I tried to use the factory installed DVD player in our new Rockwood Roo 21ss. We hooked the TV up with the video cable and inserted a DVD. All we got was a DVD error message. I could not find anything in the manual. Anyone have similar problems? Hopefully it's just an easy fix.
Thanks,
Shawn

it would be helpful either knowing what year your 21SS is or what brand/model of dvd player you have.

you could post pics.

Manual.... I got a single sheet photocopy of a photocopy...

Where did this error message show up? the TV or the radio itself....

If you did see a DVD error of sort on the television, it means it is connected OK. Had it not been connected OK you would not have see any message.

Have you tried with another DVD, not a home made one but a store bought movie ? Have you tried a music CD, does it play OK ?

It's a 2011 21ss. I received the error message on the player and tv. I tried two different DVDs, both of which are Store bought. I haven't tried a cd yet and once I figure out how to post a pic I will, I am bran new to this forum and this is my first post..... Thanks again.

Our 2011 21SS is in the same boat. Worked last year, does not this year. Error message that it can not read disc. Bought a compact Sony Dvd player from Amazon to solve the problem.

Looks to me like your Concertone is defective.... If under warranty, have it replaced. They replaced mine once.

If warranty is out, well you're out of luck.

Option 1 - Buy a replacement unit (can be costly...)
Option 2 - Buy an inexpensive DVD player (and use the HDMI connector instead, if your TV has such a connector)
Option 3 - Stop watching movies while camping and enjoy the outdoors , priceless.

Well it's clearly defective it won't read music CDs either. Guess I'll be contacting the dealer. Thank you.

I hated the remote with the Concertone too. Its tiny with 900 buttons. The Sony DVD remote is Human finger sized. My dealer is to far away and not worth the Gas or time to fix the POS.

Yup. I see it now. It didn't show using the forest river app. Had to go to the website.

We've had problems with our concertone too. And as Hybrid21SS said our dealer is too far away to justify the gas cost.
I removed the player and checked all connections. Everything seemed to be connected well. Then I reinstalled the player and applied some slight pressure to the center of the clip that holds the CD/dvd in place. After that it worked. I just assume that something was jarred out of alignment when traveling.
