Running both AC's continously. Bad?

Good morning everyone! I'm writing this from our spot in Myrtle Beach. It's been hovering in the high 80 to low 90 range here with high humidity.

My Rockwood 8327SS has two 15k AC units and my question is whether it's okay to run them both continuously while we're here or should I rotate them and give them some downtime? I've been keeping the thermostat set around 69° and the compressors do cycle as they should, but again should I give them breaks? I love having an icebox to escape to, but I don't want to damage my ac units.

On a side note... If anyone buys a new RV and they offer a dual AC option: DO IT!!! Thanks all!

No problem running both at the same time. Ours run continuously all day on most days, but, we're cooling 40 foot and 4 slides.

On a side note, we have 13.5k non-ducted units on our anchor winch cabs offshore. They run 24/7, 365. Most don't even have filters in them. These are some of the most abused neglected RV AC's I've been around. I've got some that have been running for 2 years now, non-stop. In the winter, they're non-stop with the heat strip. I thought it was cool to have them out here as I can use them as test dummies at somebody else's expense.

You must have a 50 amp supply? As long as voltage is within tolerance when units are running, there should be no issues running AC all the time

Big John, we're 32' and 4 slides trying to keep the place cool for the two weeks we're here. That's quite the testimony to the build quality on the units in your offshore rig! We have good voltage, so I guess I'll let 'em rip!

Might as well. I guess you can look at several things like you were thinking. I'm guilty of that in the past. Keep the truck parked to reduce miles / wear and tear is another example. Don't want to wear it out. I've lost all of those feelings and just use the tar out of stuff now. We pay good money for these RV's and tow rigs, or whatever, so why not get your money's worth out of it.

Those test dummies are Coleman Machs. I have Dometics on our rig now, but still prefer the Colemans. Wish that were an option.
