RV Absorption Refrigeration article

For those who receive it, the August-September 2012 issue of the Good Sam Highways magazine has an excellent article about the workings of the typical RV absorption refrigeration.

It is not too technical and contains photos of the various components in the typical RV unit.

One point the author repeatility makes, as well as others on the forum have also made, is to keep the refrigerator as level as possible when parked.

For some unknown reason, I'm not surprised that you did that.

Glad you enjoyed it. I also find the magazine to contain some good articles in each issue.

While you are at it there is a good question and sorta an answer to Amp Hours and battery charging in the September Trailer Life.

They basically said to never let the battery capacity drop below 50% and to treat the battery as if it had only half the available amp hours.

Also stated to never charge faster than 20% of the discharged amp hours.
