Our Jensen that came from the factory was in the same box that you can buy one from Walmart. It also is not 12V .

Unless it is 12V a TV that comes in a camper is the same as a home TV.

We just took delivery on a Surveyor 243RBS that was built the end of February. The build sheet has the Jensen TV scratched out and the Sansui written in. Looks like they changed suppliers. In any case, it's not the dealer's doing. If you want to take issue, do it with Forest River.

Does the TV work? find out what the mode;number is and do a search on the net to see what it costs, might be comparable to the Jenson. But if it works just use it and have fun.

When we did our walk through our sales guy said there's only 3 or 4 tv manufactures for rv's, Jensen, Furrion, Toshiba and one or two other ones. He said they make them specific torv's for bouncing around, heat, humidity and cold specs. Ours came with a LED Toshiba and the picture is actually really good but I went on Toshiba's web site and can't find anything about an rv specific model. I'd at least get a Jensen in there over some off the wall no name one. Also wanted to add there doesn't seem to be any difference in this model (that's in the rv) and one you buy and set up in your house, same model number.

Look on the last page of your campers brochure and you will see the standard blurb regarding making any changes they like at any time. If their "normal" supplier has an issue and can't supply, they'll go with someone else.

If there are any Jensens on the dealers lot, you MIGHT be able to talk him into swapping it for you, but I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Personally, unless you plan to lock yourself in your camper and watch TV 24/7, I wouldn't sweat it. If you don't like it, $150 at Walmart will get you a better one. When you trade in/sell the TT, put the cheap tv back in.

Just my 2 cents.

My main tv is a 55 Inch Insigina same as home and Best Buy sells. My dealer does not order the bedroom tv's. Buys a skid load of 32 Inch RCA's on sale and just gives them away with the Bighorns.

My trailer came with no tvs. I bought tvs from Best Buyís. I have always had regular tvs in my campers never had any issues. Why would you pay the high inflated cost of getting a tv from the dealer or manufacture when you can buy a better one online or Walmart or Best Buy.

Look at your invoice and see how much they charged you.

As a Surveyor owner, mine came with the "beloved" 32" Jenson. Trust me, it's a basic 720p tv that works but doesn't jump out as an all-star. As a tv, it picks up the signal and has a good picture for its size....I mean we're talking about hd so it's better quality than 15 years ago. I guess I use it more as a monitor for playing movies.

The real disappointment is the Sony DVD player that is complete and utter garbage. For my system, I installed a smart 24" Samsung tv ($115 @ Costco) in the bedroom, used an HDMI splitter in the cabinet and installed Sony smart blu ray DVD player that can play on both tvs.

For less than $200, I kept the jenson 32" and made major upgrades to watch dvds where we normally can't watch tv anyways.
