Looking at dishes available from Dish Network, most are programmed to look at the satellites in the western sky. But one has the option of looking at the eastern or western sky. I would think that would be a good option since a person never knows where the trees or mountains will be in a future camp sight. Is there anything different in performance or programming between the two directions?

I had the same concern. My family fulltimes AND I work fulltime from my camper (10-12+ hours a day by 4-days a week). There really is no good/viable option. I am just particular in where we stay and use vacation time judiciously.

Good luck. Keep us posted as you find anything.

Had DirecTv years ago and it was OK. Might look into Dish but for Internet, they offer a cellular signal booster. Has anyone tried that route through Dish?

I learned today that the same programs come through any one of the satellites. The eastern satellites are higher in the sky than the western ones. These might be more accessible in the mountains.
