Satellite TV Canada to USA

Are there any Canadians out there that have travelled to the USA with a Shaw Direct satellite system? We use it around Manitoba/Saskatchewan and have had no problem.
We're heading down to South Dakota and some of the campgrouds advertise cable but we just want to be able to get even just a few channels on cable. If not I'll have to get lots of movies downloaded to my laptop!! I know it's summer but I still like my TV! Especialy when my DH (darling hubby?) is golfing, haha.

I really can't see why you wouldn't be able to use it. Your Antenna would have to be adjusted for the new location. It`s funny because on my old TH I had a dome antenna that would seek the sat automatically. In my driveway it would pick up Dish. In the U.S. it would grab onto Expressview. Now I just have regular old antenna TV.
