SD card in ZX75

I'm trying to get my Concertone to play from a SD card. It's a 2GB card and the music is recorded in MP3. If I insert the card USB appears on the display, but the music will not play. If I insert the card into a USB reader stick and insert in the USB port, it will play. Am I missing some thing?

Mine will play MP3s on a 2 GB card but not a 4 GB card. It seems like it takes about 20-30 seconds to read the card and start playing.

I initially separated the MP3s into separate folders based on genre like I do for the Pioneer head unit in my truck, but found the ZX75 could only read the files if they weren't in folders.

Hope that helps.

Mine will play some sd cards but not all. Have 2 the same, will play one, but not the other.

It's interesting that it will not play it directly, but when piggybacked into the USB slot it will play.

Quality engineering I suspect!

The only thing I can think of is something is different in the coding between your actual stick (which the ZX75 does not like apparently) and the reader (which the ZX75 seems to like).

Yes, it would be awesome is stuff just worked, but there are so many subtitle issues between sticks, cards and readers you just cannot accommodate for them all. If fact, there is another recent thread here with someone asking about the same issue but with their car stereo.

Sorry the stick does not work directly, but glad you have a work around.

While I knwo this was stated I will restate here:

The ZX75 & ZX700 will read up to a 2 Gig Stick or Card

The GT1, GT2 & GT3 will read up to a 4 Gig Card.
