Smell

Though we have a Class A..beware that your battery(s) when overcharging will tend to boil up sulphuric acid and eventually explode...true..have actually experienced this issue and was fortunate to research the Forum and find out the problem......one battery was actually boiling and getting ready to explode!

Hoping this is not your problem,

George

Photo under sink in bath. See the black pipe going up from the trap? The valve is at the top.

Hmmm. Photos are sideways.

Thanks! Hubby replaced the air gap/admittance valve under the bathroom and kitchen sinks. We will know if it worked the next time we take it out. Appreciate all the comments and suggestions!

Sometimes called that, but proper name is air admittance valve, because it allows air to move into the drain but not out.

If this under sink trap doesn't work, then check the direction of the prevailing winds when your AC is on. If the roof vent is upwind of your AC and you smell it, but you don't smell it when it's downwind, then it is coming from the roof vent.
