splendide washer by Ariston

The instruction book leads one to believe that the detergent sold by Ariston needs to be used in the machine. I like the Tid HE pods. Has anyone else tried the pods. It would be kind of a pain to run down the detergent they suggest.

Somewhere else they refer to any HE detergent is ok, liquid preferred. We've done probably 75 loads and use generic HE stuff, any grocery store carrys.

i don't know if will dissolve in the dispenser. it is also more detergent than u need.
the liquid he detergents work well. we use abt a tablespoon full. the instructions also indicate using fabric softener reduces the drying time.

actually, we have used regular liq detergent and see no difference. my machine is 13yrs old. have used all, cheer, and tide. only problem we have ever had with it is one of the female connectors (inside the washer) broke on the power cord connection.
