Stereo reception

When I put my ZX25 wall stereo on tuner mode I only get static regardless of where I am located. It worked fine when I bought my Salem 23FB a year ago but now nothing. The CD player and surround sound for theTV work fine, just radio reception, both FM and AM are non existent. Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like the antenna connections came loose.
Also make sure your antenna is still even on the roof!

and turned on.

To use the roof antenna (at all) you must have the booster amp turned on.

Thanks for the quick responses. YES, the antenna is still on the roof and YES the unit is turned on and in the "tuner" mode. If the antenna has come loose, it would have to be behind the unit which is in a section of the cabinet that I can't get to without removing the unit. Since I don't have any instructions about installing and removing the unit I guess it will take spending money at the dealer.....

There is a screw cover on each side of the unit. These just pull off. They cover usually 4 screws, square head, that hold the unit in. Once removed, it comes out easily. % minute job.

Also to Herk, the booster for the antenna has nothing to do with radio reception. The booster is for the television. and there should be car style antenna on the side or roof for the radio. Need to make sure that antenna is still up there also. One last thing, there is a connection under the car style antenna that may be loose or corroded. Last thought, if you done any mods, drilling, screwing in shelves, etc., you may have shorted the coax line feeding the radio.

Sorry I missed the part about it being a radio problem.

I thought it was a TV antenna reception issue not a radio issue. My Bad.
I should RTFP more completely. (Read the freaking post).

Thanks to all who responded. I was able to remove the two side covers but need to get the necessary square screwdriver. I have a square bit but the unit it fits is too big to fit in the recessed holes. Hopefully I will find the antenna loose on either or both ends.
