Here is a post from the archives.... I had 2 vent doors break the tiny tabs
and fall off. I lost one and found the other hanging by a thread and made
this little mod.
REAL brass hinges so no more broken/lost flapper door.
This is for an early Rockwood and your vent may be different but if it looks
like this one- it's a one beer job!

I did not realize the covers opened up like that ???
I'm sure they aren't all made like that.
On that Rockwood 2010 model I think... there were 2 visible screws
on the lower corners. Once I removed them and slit the caulking the
outer cover simply raised up to expose the flapper.
New units are probably different design.
