Stupid question- Ever Chill refridgerator

I am new to RV camping and just picked up a 2019 Salem 26dble ( very excited).. Now the issue, I have the camper parked outside of my house waiting to camp and the dealer had the fridge on.. I can't remember how to turn it off.. there are no on/off buttons on the fridge.. How do you turn this thing off?

Isn't the Everchill a 12v DC only fridge? No propane option?

I have the same fridge in my Salem Hemisphere 29BHHL. Frustratingly there is no way to turn it off. I’m brining the rig into the dealer for my 90 day warranty service and I’m having them install a power switch so I can turn it off. Yes it is 12V only, no propane option. I thought I would like that (larger capacity and cools quick) but now I wish we had a two-way fridge for boom docking.

Happy camping!

Taking the fuse out of the panel would work.

Modern rv’s are designed to be plugged in or have the electrical main switch off. No driving with the switch off.

Adding a fridge on off switch is easy on paper. Finding a place to put the switch is tough. Near the fuse panel would be easy.

Did your dealer install the switch for you? I had the same thought for my unit also. Another thing the way my TT layout is I can't adjust the shelves without pulling the fridge out of its mounted position. DOH!

Turn it to zero. The only complaint with mine so far is after a trip I shut it off and put a towel between both doors to dry it out, problem is the light stays on. You could put a piece of tape to hold the light switch or if you have a battery cut off switch us that. I don't have one installed yet so since it's an LED light I just left the light on. 2 days on and battery with a solar trickle charge kept it at 100%....[emoji16]

If you do install a switch make sure it's rated for the amperage of the fridge not sure the rating of normal light switches that come in these units.

Any more information on installing a switch to turn off 12V refrigerators - we have a Sunseeker 2400?

On my Everchill fridge you hold down the set button until it turns off.

How to Wire the On/Off Switch

I have read a number of posts about this fridge, but none say exactly how to wire the switch. I am attaching the schematic to see if someone can tell me which wire to splice the switch into. Once wired I plan to install the switch to the service panel for easy access. This is a bad design as we all have come to realize and I think this would benefit everyone having this issue. Pulling the fuse is not a safe method and I fear that a short could occur from frequently using this method.
Thanks for your help!!

I'm not sure what the issue is that you are trying to solve. The fridge turns off with a long push of the "set" button.

There have been reports that earlier versions of this fridge and others branded under a different name, do not have an off function.
